Winters are generally more mild than Europe, and summers are more
hot. In Cape Town, lowest are in the mid 40° F (occurs in July);
and the highest is around the mid 80° F (occurs in February).

2 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (+2 GMT). Daylight Saving Time
is not observed.

Communication in South Africa is of an international standard and
it is easy to make contact with the rest of the world. Mobile are
available and coverage is excellent over main routes.
